Kristen Bell knows how to stay in a good place with her daughters.
The Nobody Wants This star’s husband Dax Shepard gave some insight into Kristen’s parenting techniques by sharing a handwritten apology note that she wrote to their daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 10.
“Dear Girls, I lost my temper last night—twice—and I owe you both an apology,” Kristen’s note, which Dax shared to his Instagram Stories May 6, said. “I love you so very much + I’m sorry. Xoxo Mom.”
“P.S.,” the 44-year-old, who also drew a few hearts around her letter, added. “Dog’s have been fed! Xo.”
For his part, Dax fully endorsed the move, captioning the photo, “This is way hotter than her singing or acting.”
The peek into Kristen and Dax’s family dynamic comes a few months after the Veronica Mars alum shared rare photos of their daughters in honor of Dax’s January birthday. In the adorable snaps, Kristen continued her practice of covering Lincoln and Delta’s faces with emojis, which is part of her effort to protect their privacy.
“My feeling is that I chose a career in the public eye,” Kristen explained to Romper in 2020. “I chose to be quoted, I chose to have my picture taken. I don’t know them yet. I don’t know if they will want that. So I really don’t have the right to choose for them.”
It’s an approach that the Frozen star—who spearheaded the “No Kids Policy” campaign aimed at keeping celebrities’ kids’ pictures out of the national spotlight—and her husband have been aligned on since they started their family together.

News correspondent Will Marfuggi in February about the key to their long-lasting relationship. “Even if Dax hooks up with the most beautiful person in the world at work, I know he’s committed to our family. I know he’s coming home. I know he loves our children. I know he strives to be a great husband and father.”

Bell gave birth to their first child, a girl they named Lincoln, in March 2013. Fiercely protective of her daughter’s privacy, Kristen quipped, “I would really like to see the aftermath of the first person who tries to take a picture of Lincoln.”

The Plot Twist
In an interview with Good Housekeeping in May 2015 Kristen shared that she and her hubby attend couples counseling when they need to work through an issue saying, “Therapy is not something to be embarrassed about.”
