Jessica Williams isn’t shrinking in Harrison Ford‘s presence.
In fact, the 36-year-old revealed how she made sure she felt confident working alongside the film legend ahead working together on Shrinking.
“I actually did a blackout on him for quite a while,” Jessica told the Associated Press in a joint interview with the 83-year-old on the carpet ahead of their Televerse panel Aug. 15. “I didn’t watch any of your movies before we started working together. I mean, I’d seen them, but I just wanted it to be normal. I didn’t want to get all freaked out, so I wasn’t scared of you.”
Jessica shared that her method worked, confirming to the actor, “I’m not scared of you.”
And Harrison agreed that she most definitely feels comfortable working with him, quipping, “No, she’s not scared of me.”
That banter continued on through the panel, when Harrison—who is married to Calista Flockhart—was asked if he ever turns to his costars for advice. His response? “No, I go home for that s–t! That’s where I get my instruction.”
Jessica also stepped in, agreeing, “Never in a million years would he do that!”
And the recent occasion wasn’t the only funny moment the dynamic duo has shared this year. Back in February at the SAG Awards, the pair had a memorable on-screen appearance during the “I am an actor” segment.
As Jessica appeared on camera for her moment, sharing, “Los Angeles is known as the city of dreams, and sure enough all my dreams have come true here,” Harrison could be seen in the background putting a chip in his mouth before realizing he too was on camera.
As the audience erupted in laughter and Jessica looked back, she exclaimed, “I told him to turn away!”
She then added, “Don’t look!”
The Daily Show alum has previously shared insight into their bond and why they work so well together.
“We make each other laugh,” Jessica told People last November. “I like shooting with him, and he loves me, and he loves shooting with me.”
