SteveHarvey isn’t looking to start a family feud with his daughter.
Indeed, the game show host shared that when it comes to Lori Harvey‘s ex-boyfriends, he has to keep his distance.
“I’m off limits,” Steve said on the Sept. 16 episode of The Pivot Podcast. “That’s the rule. The rule in our house is any boy that’s a ex, he’s now my ex, too. I must hate him like we was dating.”
And that’s because he’s learned a lesson from his daughter the hard way.
“I gotta be real careful because Lori, boy, she be in my a–,” he joked. “I can’t make no mistakes.”
Even if he runs into one of her exes in public, talking to them is off-limits.
“I saw one of her exes somewhere at a game somewhere,” Steve shared, potentially referring to when he was spotted greeting Lori’s ex Michael B. Jordan—who she dated from 2020 to 2022—while at the 2023 NBA Abu Dhabi Games, “and I shook his hand.”
But, while they may have been all smiles on camera, it seems he didn’t receive a smile from Lori, 28, when he got home.
“Boy, I can’t even touch his ass no more,” Steve—who shares Lori with wife Marjorie—quipped. “I better not acknowledge him or look at him or nothing no more.”
Despite Lori’s rules for her dad, she’s focused on far more than her dating life. Following her breakup from the Sinners actor, she shared that at age 26, it felt like it was her time to work on finding herself.
“I feel like this year especially, I’m really stepping into my own, coming into my own as a woman,” Lori told E! News‘ Adrienne Bailon-Houghton in June 2022. “I feel like I’m officially kind of getting grown now, really learning myself.”
And while she noted that “love is the foundation to everything,” she shared that she has a lot more going on in her life than just relationships.
“I’ve focused on so many other things for years,” Lori emphasized, “just figuring out how to navigate life.”

The “Life Is Good” rapper was once all about Lori. After many months of speculation and sightings together, the pair confirmed their relationship in 2019 during a trip to Jamaica for Lori’s 23rd birthday. The couple spent a good portion of the trip sharing snaps and spicy photos on Instagram. Future went on to even address his relationship with Lori on his track “Accepting My Flaws” where he rapped, “Give me glory, give me Lori, that’s victory” but their relationship only spanned until 2020 when fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Diddy
Taking it back to when Lori, 22, at the time and Diddy, 49, seemed to be a thing. The pair was spotted together on vacations in Cabo San Lucas and even on a trip that included Lori’s parents along Italy’s Amalfi Coast. But the relationship fizzled out after three months in 2019 and according to a source, Diddy just wasn’t focused on a long-term committed relationship.

Lori was reportedly linked to Diddy’s son prior to her relationship with the patriarch of the family.
Trey Songz
This relationship forced Meek Mill to switch up the lyrics on his song “Going Bad”: “I got Lori Harvey on my wish list. That’s the only thing I want for Christmas” when he found out his buddy Trey was dating the model. The relationship was short lived in 2018 but had all Trigga Trey fans jealous of their cozying up. It’s speculated that the pair broke things off in February 2019 once they deleted pictures of themselves on Instagram.
