YouTube star Mikayla Raines, famous for rescuing foxes and other animals, died by suicide last month … and now we know how she took her own life.
Mikayla hanged herself in a barn on her Minnesota property … according to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
Her body was found on June 20, and when Mikayla’s husband, Ethan Frankamp, announced her death he said it was suicide.
He also shared his wife’s struggles with mental health issues, and said she’d been on the receiving end of some social media bullying.
Mikayla was widely recognized for her work with the non-profit Save A Fox Corporation — a group she founded to rescue thousands of foxes destined for death on fur farms. Through those efforts she’d gained millions of followers on social media platforms.
The ME’s report also notes Mikayla was cremated … and on Saturday, she reportedly had a funeral service.
She was only 30 years old.
