Zoë Kravitz Breaks Silence on Channing Tatum Split

Watch:Zoë Kravitz Breaks Her Silence About Split from Channing Tatum

Zoë Kravitz doesn’t need to think twice about her feelings toward Channing Tatum

Just four months after the Blink Twice director and former fiancé called off their engagement, she emphasized that their breakup doesn’t in any way dampen their history together—especially when it comes to her directorial debut.

“Not at all,” Zoë told Elle in an interview published Feb. 25. “I love this thing that we made together and I care for him very much.”

Indeed, Zoë—whose relationship with Tatum began in tandem with the production of Blink Twice—added that looking back on her ex’s performance in the film “warms” her heart.

“I’m so happy that all happened,” Zoë added. “I just feel so grateful to go on that journey together.”

As for where they stand now? Zoë emphasized that her ex has “so much more coming,” at least in terms of his career.

“I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him,” the High Fidelity actress noted. “He’s got a lot to offer, so I’m excited for people to keep witnessing that.”

Otherwise, though, the 36-year-old remained mum on the offset of her relationship with the Magic Mike star. The former couple’s breakup came as a surprise to fans, just months after Blink Twice hit theaters—and weeks after Channing shared a heartfelt message to his former fiancée.

“I’m so proud to stand ten toes down for her, this film and everyone in it,” Channing wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post in September. “Forever. Thank you for finding me and seeing me. I got you forever. Me and you back to back against it all. I’ll never blink. Let’s go.”

In the months since their split, Channing—who shares Everly, 11, with ex Jenna Dewan—kept himself busy filming a new movie, Roofman, in North Carolina. Zoë, for her part, has also been keeping busy—and was spotted on a girls’ night in New York City with pal Taylor Swift weeks after news of her split went public.

And while Zoë and Channing’s romantic entanglement is no longer of concern, it’s clear they have a lot of love for each other. Keep reading to revisit their relationship…
